TapRight Privacy Policy

TapRight is made by Baoguang Xu (Thousand Moons), an independent developer in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how TapRight handles your information.

The short version

What stays on your phone

To work, TapRight saves a few things only on your device:

• The cards you add to "My cards" (card names only, never card numbers)
• Your settings, such as card conditions, custom point values and the dates your cards were opened
• Your loyalty memberships
• Your recent store searches

This information is never sent to us or anyone else. You can remove a card or clear your recent searches at any time, and deleting the app removes all of it. If you back up your iPhone, iOS may include this information in your device backup, which is handled by Apple, not by TapRight.

What TapRight does not do

• No analytics, advertising or tracking tools
• No collection of your name, email, location, contacts or device identifiers
• No access to your bank accounts or card transactions
• No device permissions requested

All card, rate and store information is built into the app.

Links to other websites

When you tap "Learn more" or "View source", your browser opens the card issuer's website, and that website's own privacy policy applies. Some of these links may be affiliate links, and TapRight may earn a commission if you apply for a card. TapRight adds no information about you to these links. Opening one sends your browser's normal request to the issuer's website, and the link may include a code identifying TapRight as the referrer. Card rankings are based only on rewards value.

Children

TapRight is meant for adults managing their own credit cards and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If TapRight changes how it handles information, for example by adding new features, this policy will be updated and the date above will change.
